Question 1

Is a weather service extract enough for my insurer?

Accepted Answer

It is the evidence the question turns on: standard German building-insurance conditions define storm as wind force 8, and a record from the national weather service shows what was measured near your address that day. It is not an expert opinion on your damage, and it does not replace the loss adjuster — it settles the part of the argument that is about the weather.

Question 2

What is wind force 8, in numbers?

Accepted Answer

62 kilometres an hour, measured as a gust. That is the threshold standard conditions name, and it is the line drawn across every chart on this site. Below it, a record documents a gust that will rarely help a claim, and we say so before you pay.

Question 3

Can it show hail at my address?

Accepted Answer

For German addresses from 23 September 2026, yes. The German weather service classifies what is falling every five minutes from radar, hail included, and deletes the classification after 48 hours; this site keeps every frame. The free check says whether hail was classified over your address's own square kilometre or within 5 km, and when; where it was, the record carries those frames themselves. For earlier dates and other countries it lists the hail the nearby weather stations reported, where they report it.

Question 4

What do I get for the price?

Accepted Answer

A dated PDF about one address and one day: the gusts measured at the nearest stations with the distance to each, the rain and hail observations, a ten-year comparison at the nearest station, and an appendix naming every archive file the figures were read from. It carries a public verification page and a content hash, so the reader can check it without trusting you.

Question 5

Do I need an account?

Accepted Answer

No. You enter an address, a date and an e-mail. The record appears at a link of its own, which is also mailed to you, and nothing else about you is stored.
